Low vibration ductile iron piles installed close to school during term time and adjacent housing development.
Cloughvalley housing project, designed by Monaghan County Council in conjunction with Cooney Architects, went on site in September 2010.
Larsen Foundations were successful in winning a competitive tendering process to deliver piled foundations for the 22 single and two storey housing units. With the proximity to a school in term time and other local authority housing, Larsen installed 414 118mm ductile cast iron piles on programme for their client within agreed tolerable limits for noise and vibration. These dwellings were constructed to the latest codes and practices on a brownfield site to minimise the carbon footprint. The development was completed in 2012.
