Low vibration mini piles installed for light features in public realm works in Portrush
Location : Redevelopment of Station Square, Portrush
Client: Coleraine Borough Council
Main Contractor : FP McCann
Consulting Engineer : URS Scott Wilson
As part of the environmental improvement works creating a town square in Portrush, FP McCann were required to install light columns in close proximity to existing structures. Larsen tendered for these works using the bottom driven mini piling system to support the light columns and secured the works after a competitive tendering and interview process.
Larsen installed 44nr 150mm and 219mm diameter bottom-driven, low vibration mini-piles with vibration monitoring performed throughout the project. Works were completed on budget and on time to facilitate the regeneration of this well-known area. Larsen Building Products subsequently provided Streetscape bedding mortar and jointing materials for the installation of the stone paving on this project.
